"I'm willing to bet that we are the only people in all of America who lited weights and then read Heidegger while drinking beers!" --my friend Bryan speaking to me and my friend Kyle after this evening's festivities
I watched a series of lectures on Heidegger, Nietzsche and technologism the other day while things were installing at work. Then, I went biking and on the way back I stopped at a little cafe where I ordered a Fullers ESB and talked with some district atttorney and a philosophy graduate student about life.

re: dorking, i've become addicted to (inter)disciplinary ramblings on mpeg, compact disc, etc etc, so i've managed to maintain certain near useless conversations with myself as i slink to and frow, despite the obvious fascism of movement - biking toward, against, and with people and their ideas, etc etc. the one worry i have about this otherwise harmless habit is the prospect of leaving this earth thinking over someone else's observations on life, my death, and the life of their words after my death, etc etc. this education stuff is, to be sure, ontologically riskay.
