SPEP Weekend

SO. SPEP (Society for Phenomenology and Existential Philosophy) was here for the weekend.  For those of you who don't know, SPEP is the largest professional organization/conference for continental philosophy in the country.  About 500 philosophers/students showed up, so it was a pretty lively affair--I think I got a feel for what the "job" of

That conference sounds like a good time :)

I got ahold of "Eye and Mind" by way of the anthology that we are using for Philosophy of Art class. Unfortunately, we won't get to it by the end of the semester. I'd still like to read it, but I bet it will be difficult since I haven't read MP before. So...if I get completely hung up on something, do you mind if I pick your brain via Livejournal? I probably won't have time to start it till December, given my current workload. Ugh.

Sure, if there is anything that I enjoy it is talking about MP! December sounds about right as well, I'm pretty buried in my own work at the moment as well. Whenever you get the time will be fine. I think I'll even be in RI for the holidays.
