So when you are writing a paper sometimes you get bored and since the internet is right at your fingertips, one tend to wander. At any rate, check this out: Heidegger on MySpace!

I haven't quite finalized anything and am looking for input on how to make it funnier. Enjoy!

"I will only watch Charlie Chaplin movies, he's just so devilish!"

Hehehe.

I was inspired because I found a Charlie Chaplin reference in some obscure text last spring and thought it was hilarious. Imagine this: in a darkened theatre, Heidegger sitting there laughing aloud to the little tramp being chased around on rollerskates in a department store by security guards!

the very idea of Heidegger enjoying himself at such hings is entertaining to me. :-)

I have always wanted to start up a myspace account for a philosopher, but I'm not confident enough in the facts of any one person to do it. Props on doing it well!

*bows deeply*

Why thank you! I'm glad you enjoy it! Keep an eye out for Heidegger's future blog entries--I'm not saying anything in particular, but I have a feeling that the insanity is only beginning over there as my own action precipitated two of my friends starting their own "philosopher's" pages...

In the immortal words of Bill: "Strange things are afoot at the Circle K!"

Well, I'm just the publicist, you'll have to book with Marty himself.

I've been surprised: everyone I've shown it to so far in person looks at me funny when they get to the Bowie stuff. I just thought it would be funny and a lot less cliché than mking him listen to Brittney Spears or something. Plus, I'm pretty sure Ziggy Stardust came out before Heidegger kicked... weird that two such things could co-exist in the same world at the same time.
