Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm rying to upload some of my photos to
deviantart per
solraev's suggestion. So I scanned them all in as .TIF files, which I like but are HUGE files. The site won't take them, of course, because I would be uplaoding something like 500MB of photo files. OK. So I go back today and resave all the images as JPEGs

click on the "Help" link
scroll down to "Blogging" & click on link #28:
"How do I post photos to my blog?"
and there you will find the instructions for connecting your flickr account to your lj account
after you do that you'll be able to send your photos from flickr to lj by clicking on the photo & then on the button "Blog This"
btw you can also setup a picture gallery directly in your lj & post your photos from there

The open in a new window thing is what I was missing. I could link to the page, but couldn't get the photo's individual link and so it would come up as dead HTML. Of course on the mac there is no right click, but I get the point. ;-)
insert the following between two carrots (opening and closing carrots are on the comma and period keys of the keyboard, respectively)
