I gave blood for the first time yesterday. I know that doesn't seem like a big thing, but it seemed like it to me. I was so freaked out when I was waiting, but a) the RNs are really nice, b) you get a super cool sticker that says "1st time donor" that you HAVE to wear, c) you get cookies and juice, and d) it doesn't hurt. I tried to give blood in first year, and then earlier this year, but both times I wasn't allowed because I'd had a piercing done in the last six months and been out of the country. Boo. I think Ange and I are going in Feb or something, though... and I'm a little terrified. It's one thing to try and then get shot down, but to actually go through with it? Eeek! Oh well, it's a good deed. ;)
