I completely understand what you're going through because I went through the same just these past few months. If I hadn't had GRE prep classes to go to and the goal of writing the GRE, I would have really gone off the deep end.
You have a B.A. right? It can be a dreadful thing to feel that your degree is useless. I finally found a job and I start next week, but it's not even permanent (maybe it'll turn out to be) and there's absolutely no relation to my field. In fact, you don't really even need a university degree to do my job...which may be the most depressing fact of all.
The job search is incredibly frustrating, but you will get a job eventually. A lot of it depends on luck and timing even though it mightn't seem like it.
