Happy New Year!
Well, it's the sixth, so technically, Happy Belated New Year.
Anyway.
School has started for me again, and I can't tell you all how happy I am.
I'm in Grant MacEwan University, and I'm starting my first year of my four year adventure to get my BEd in Secondary Education. I started on Wednesday, and it's just so incredible so far. I know in two months it'll be a chore to drag myself out of bed and go, but it's so worth it. I even went out and bought myself a new laptop to start the school year off right. ^_^
That being said, I definitely need to make some resolutions I'm going to stick to. I'm basing them off the strengths of character I want to emulate going forward, to be a better person. They are:
Spending more time with friends and family (love)
Learning something new (perseverance)
Getting fit and losing weight (self-control)
I want to make more time for the people closest to me, and I feel like I don't do that enough. My family means the world to me. I'm in post-secondary for the first time and I plan on doing it right, putting everything I have into getting a good GPA and making my dad proud. And lastly, but definitely not least, is to get fit and lose weight. I'm not overweight, but I've got those stubborn ten pounds I want to be rid of. Preferably, I'd like to lose twenty, but you know.
Also, I need to write more on here! There's so much I want to write, and so little I actually get on paper. (Figuratively, of course, I do all my writing on the computer...)
So, just a little message to give me a reminder of how 2013 is going to be my year, and all of you should never stop reaching for your goals. No matter how small.
