The best friend I never met
I thought it was unusual for Lyn to suddenly go silent for a couple of days. Last night I found out (via a message from her brother) that she'd passed away on her bed on Sunday. My last message from her was at 6pm.

Oh dear, it's been a month already since we left France. Where did the time go? I do intend to write a travelogue at some point, filled with photos. I have three and a half DVDs worth to choose from (though a gig or two of that is video). But before I do that I have a lot of photo stitching to do.

A heart-wrenching tale about Animal Crossing
A small number of you (mostly those familiar with Joystiq and/or 4chan) may have already seen it, but this is one the saddest stories I've ever read. I recommend viewing the YTMND version. Those unfamiliar with the game Animal Crossing may find the wikipedia entry useful.

Yay Andy and Ellora!
Okay, it took a little longer than I was hoping, but I've finally got Ellora and Andrew's wedding photos in my gallery. Now for captioning, sigh. My camera struggled a bit in the low light levels of the reception venue; my next camera is so going to have to be an SLR.

Last weekend was Art and Anna's wedding. I had been volunteered to be first at the venue to help with initial setup. I also got to drive their car, which was quite fun, though I still find the springy feel of power steering to be unpleasant.
