I spent Friday afternoon at UWA's O-Day. Quite a carnival atmosphere, and certainly a lot bigger than previous years. After wandering around to look at all the stands I renewed my UniSFA and UCC memberships, and spent most of the rest of the afternoon in Cameron Hall. What a crappy day. Annoyed at work by a persisent mysterious problem suffered by Murdoch dialup users. It didn't help that the sole machine available for testing is a Mac. No offence, but OS9 isn't that amenable to diagnostics like packet sniffers, ping, etc.
