Is it wrong that the first thing I thought when I looked at the pictures was "wow! he's cute"? Glad to hear he shouldn't have any permanent damage. Head injuries are scary.

i'm so glad he's ok, leah. really, i am. that's scary. he looks amazingly well for the type of accident he was in.

you know, i'm really surprised at how many people here in Chicago (where I'm at while dave works here for the week) don't wear helmets. i noticed it immediately...they must not have to wear 'em here either. I saw a handful of people cruising w/o helmets and i commented to dave "Why in the world would you do that?!?! it doesn't make you look cooler!"

so yes. helmets are a miracle. in fact, if i wasn't wearing my helmet when i got into my 4 wheeler accident a few weeks ago, i would've been in trouble seeing as how there is a 3 inch GOUGE in the helmet from where the underside of the quad's engine or whatever ran across the top of my head. that gouge could have may well been across my skull... i shudder to think about it.

so yes. helmets = good.

give him my love and well wishings, even though i don't know him :)
