Amateur astronomy has been an interest of mine for a long time. I haven't been active for more than 15 years, but the interest never left me. So unless you share this fascination in galaxies and scientific findings this doesn't excite you and will cause hourless discussions in your household.

Yes, there are fewer objects to observe up there unless you go to a good site. Even the pollution filters aren't helping anymore. However, I do have a veyr good site about 2 hours away, so I camp out there for about a week and enjoy.
