The last day...tomorrow around this time I'm on my way to Paris, for my first vacation in 14 months

wow you get a heck of a lot of vacation time! the best companies here offer 2 weeks a year. :(

We do have more vacation days in general (six weeks), but in my case it's the leftovers from 2003, 2004 and 2005...because I couldn't take the days in those years they accumulated. I had three days off in 2003, 15 in 2004...and so far 5 this year.

We do have a lot less public holidays, though and we also don't get Fridays or Mondays off if a public holiday falls into a weekend. Hey, we even have a flowing public holiday, once every five years...
