24 hours and 12 minutes to my manumission from Mayan.  Seven pages into a 5 to 15 page paper.  Still have things to say, and feel ridiculously, foolishly clever for having anything to say at all.  If you had told me in highschool that I'd be writing graduate papers about mythology, text structure, and word choice I probably would have squealed with ( Read more... )

Down home cookin' department:
A bushel of apples will indeed make a whole lot of applesauce, although I still might be able to fit it all in my freezer.  In addition, it takes rather a lot of time to render a whole bushel of apples into applesauce-- I'm only about a quarter of the way through.
