Don't worry too much. I don't think a state has the right to modify US citizenship requirements like this. According to this law I could keep a half-dozen embryos in my freezer and claim tax deductions and SS benefits for them. And once I'd had them for 18 years I could also cast ballots for all of them as the guardian of an adult person who is unable to cast a ballot themselves. This law is just all kinds of ridiculous.
