[Background]
History under cut! [Personality] Gino could easily be described as your happy-go-lucky, comic relief of the series. His upbeat and positive nature brings a round about way of assurance and spreads that to others around him- even if they don’t completely receive it. Yet even if not, Gino still manages to touch people wherever he may go. Be it enemy or complete stranger.
Between his peeps within the Knights of the Round, those being Anya Alstreim and Suzaku Kururugi, it would be fair to say that Gino fills in more than half of the amount of smiles. He is always seen smiling among them; either conserving in odd conversations - or trying to - with Anya, or draping himself over Suzaku much to the boy’s dislike. He is the life of the party and keeps the others motivated with positive vibes and feelings. Even if some of those vibes ring on deaf ear.
Gino was born into a rich family, and as such was given many opportunities that most fail to have. On the short end though, he missed the ‘real world’ feel and is mostly unaware of how exactly things outside of a family rolling in money works. The boy is often seen baffled over the smallest things like frying dough or ‘commoner’ festivals. Even so, he decides to join into a lower class school to get the feel of what it’s like living a normal life, rather than to be shelter into the ways of a higher upbringing. In many ways he accepts this life greater than the one he had before. Given the amount of freedom he has obtained, and the ‘down to Earth’ setting he can allow himself to be apart of. Suzaku also comments that he should act more like a noble than his playful manner. Which of course was quickly brushed to the side.
Even if he tries to avoid the upbringing he was apart of, the noble charm still remains. Gino is nothing short of a flirt, and expresses such in compliments and teasing the girls of his liking. He even goes as far as to try to hit on Zero’s ace pilot, Kallen Kozuki, by commenting: “Man, that’s my kind of woman!” While in the midst of a heated chess match between Zero and his brother Prince Schneizel. During an event at his school where taking the hat of the person you like would make them his or her boyfriend/girlfriend, the male is seen being chased by quite a few women and egging them on. As if impressed by his flirtatious means.
Yet aside from Gino’s playful demeanor, he also knows when it’s time to take things seriously. Be a in a high position of importance he takes his role into high regard, and performs to a boot. Here’s not to say he won’t have any fun doing his job. In the case of Kallen he is always up for a challenge and likes the heat of the battle between two good pilots. [ and even while Kallen is the enemy, Gino is never crude to her. Instead showing more of a competitive vibe of seeing who’s the best among them. ] He is cool under the pressures of battle, and often leaves a smirk to those who are willing to cross his path because not only of his assured abilities as a pilot, but the smug outlook and pride he holds to not lose a battle.
Gino believes in justice and knows the difference between right and wrong- even when others believe it to be something else. So much so that he would even risk his life for it. In the end, he turns away from fighting with Britannia to against it. Believing that the world that Lelouch created was not in best interest of the people. Even if fighting against it meant that he would be fighting with his former friend- Suzaku Kururugi. He fights with a strong will and never shows a waver of emotion in what he thinks to be the right thing. Once he sets his mind to a goal, there is little anyone could do to stop it. Being that the boy is very opinionated and likes to make those opinions known to those around him.
Overall, this knight is gentle, friendly, and has a heart of gold. While he may be on the playful side, his determination and focus shines through the darkness of negativity and brings forth a light for all those who are graced with the presence of this giant and happy tree!
[Abilities] Gino is such an impressive pilot that he was positioned to become a Knight of the Round [ One of the Emperor’s Elite fighting force ] at such a young age. He controls the Tristan; a Knightmare Frame which can change it’s structure from a jet-like appearance into a giant fighting robot. Piercing spear and all. [ Kinda like a Transformer, but only cooler! ] Aside from his technical experience, Gino really shows no other outward physical strength aside from being able to run from a mob of girls interested in him. Though joining the military after leaving his family, it can only be assumed he has that practice tucked away for future usage.
Given his ability to control a Knightmare Frame, his mental strength is nothing to tamper with. He can apprehend a situation within moments and keeps his cool during times of great pressure.
Yet aside from physical and mental, Gino is a great picker uper! He would surely be the person to come to for advice, and could easily bring a smile to someone’s face with kind words, funny jokes, and encouraging motions.
[Other important stuff] Gino is a whopping 6’7 in height. While it may be intimated to some, he really is just a big teddy bear.

[First Person]
- What were you doing before now? Attending school at Ashford Academy! I may be a Knight of the Round, but I’ve got to keep up with my education. I never thought commoner schools could be this great!
- If someone provoked or attacked you, what would you do? You gotta do what you gotta do, right? I won’t hold back to anyone who tries pick a fight.
- Would you consider yourself a hero or a villain? Why? Neither is an option as well, but still tell why. There’s been a lot of debate in the past whether fighting for Britannia actually made us heroes. I can’t say I’m the real villain type, so that would only leave me to be a hero. I put up a good fight, saved some people- that has to count for something, right? Besides, you could say I’ve been on both sides of the spectrum and I fought for what I thought was right. That’s a hero in my eyes.
- You have two options: either save your friend who is hanging from a cliff, or chase after the bad guy who put them in a position. If you choose the former, the bad guy will get away and it will be hard to catch him. If you choose the latter, the cliff will crumble and the friend will fall to the spiky rocks below. What do you do and why? I couldn’t just leave a friend hanging there. Really, who does that? Unless you really didn’t like the person in the first place. Even so, I don’t think there would be any hesitation to help out a friend.
That bad guy wouldn’t be hiding for long if I went after him!
- There is a cake in the rain. What do you do? Eat it, of course! You couldn’t let all that cake go to waste.
- If you could destroy a city, how would you do it? Ahaha, well I certainly wouldn’t do like someone did awhile ago. I would defiantly want to be flashy, but there’s gotta be more of a bang to it! Probably break down the pillars of buildings and watching them fall first, then the rest would just carry on from there.
- If you could fight in a giant robot, what would it be and what would you do? As luck would have it, I actually do have a giant robot- or something like that. My Tristan and I do the basic standard procedures of anyone in the Knights of the Round. Y’know, fighting off terrorists, protecting the borders of Britannia and Area 11 or pretty much anything the Empress wants us to do. Here’s not to say I don’t have any fun though!
[Third Person]
"Calm down, ladies. I know it's going to be hard, but parting away from me for one day won't break your hearts. I promise that tomorrow we can all have lunch together. By the Garden Club, alright?" His response was more than sincere, but of course the ring of moans from the crowd around him over-weighed his humble request. It was hard to part, but with a large wave from free hand ( the other holding something oddly suspicious the group of girls around him would love ) Gino began his trot away from the grounds of Ashford Academy.
There was no real reason why he had chosen this day or all days to come to a grave site. It was no one's birthday, not an anniversary of a passing, or even just a special day of remembrance in general. Nope, Gino had arrived here on his own accord with only one thing in mind- forgiveness.
It had taken him a long time since the funeral to even come back to this lonely site. Seeing someone he cared so deeply about and cherished as one of his best friends only to become an enemy at the very end? Harsh. It was painful to see the road he had taken; to betray a country with people all depending on him and allow himself to become apart of what Gino felt to be a dictatorship. Fighting against someone you use to call a friend? Guess that's what war really does to you. But here, standing in front of a particular gravestone, this knight was finally allowing it all to go to rest, just as his friend went before him. Ah well, former friend.
"Hey there, Suzaku. Sorry I haven't visited in awhile. You know how crazy school can be!" There was a lighthearted chuckle at the end of his sentence before it faded away. Silence only followed soon after and Gino was left hovering over such a sight with a nervous shift to his shoes. "Ah- I almost forgot," The pause followed closely with a ruffle of the sound of leaves brushing up against one another as the boy bent down to lay a bouquet of flowers to the gravestone's feet. "Sorry they're not flashy, but I never saw you as a flower kinda guy anyways." Yet another little chuckle.
It was an awkward motion, but Gino allowed himself to gracefully brush a hand against the edge of the stone; right where his name was engraved. Kururugi Suzaku. Man, did he miss that boy at times. Attending school together, fighting along side him within the Knight of the Rounds, or just overall enjoying his company-- even if it didn't seem like Suzaku was enjoying himself. Still, Gino realized that those times were meaningful, so in turn lead to his final decision. A decision of forgiveness.
"I hope you're doing alright... wherever you are." And with that, the blond- with much hesitation- withdrew himself from his hunched position and brushed the grass left behind on his pant's leg. Nothing to do now then to move forward, right?
[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] By the horrible peer pressure of your Code Geass cast. But also I believe this community needs to be Ginoifed with the happy tree.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] Always love being nice to other players. B) Rping is suppose to be for fun- so let’s all make it that way!
[Where did you hear about Somarium?] Dear_Mun and through some friends.
[Any questions?] Nope!
