Menino's Boston: film friendly at public expense

So cat9 and I were out at Prospect Hill Forge tonight (she actually smithing, me just hanging out this time). We left here at probably 5 PM. When we got home, our entire block, including down both side streets, was marked with signs saying that the area had become a tow zone for tomorrow, and only authorized film vehicles were allowed. You could always contact The Film Bureau and find out how much notice they're supposed to give you.

As it turns out, I'll be around the house tomorrow. I'm very tempted to provide authentic local color to the film...

Ah. Was the lay-off instantaneous? I thought you might have more time in the office. We should grab lunch next week.

Yeah, Wednesday was the last day of the quarter, so they made the decision that morning and I was out by 10:30.

I'd be up for lunch.

There's nothing wildly good or new that I know of in the general Dorchester area. A microbrew pub has opened up at the bowling alley, but I know you're not a big beer fan and the menu doesn't look good -- only the beer.

I haven't tried the "new and improved" Harp & Bard yet, have you?
