I don't remember if I commented to your Chernobyl thing, but I definitely took it to heart, and mentioned it to my entire school.

A lot of the time the people who ones writing most affects doesn't openly respond while others feel obligated to respond.

Also, Sabrina,

hi. Do you still want me to come to Farmington?

And Joel!

I'll do the double visit magic again.

I didn't comment last time because I didn't agree with what you said, so I figured I'd keep my mouth shut. Of course since I'm commenting here I can't go back and read over what you said, but it seemed to me like you were saying writers don't have a way with words and seem to almost get lucky with great works of writing. I think it's incredibly obvious that's not the case - look no further than James Joyce. Everything he ever wrote was genius. Dubliners, Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, Ulysses, Finnegan's Wake. Shit, I've seen one list of the best works of the 20th century that has Ulysses listed as number 1, with Portrait of the Artist as number 3. 2 out of the top 3! Shakespeare didn't miss too often either, nor did Hemingway (although more often than the other two). It's not just a matter of writing something that people like - it's a matter of inventing a way of writing it that has never been done before - that's what defines geniuses like Joyce and Hemingway as such. That's not luck - it took Joyce 7 years to write Ulysses ( ... )

I promise you that I didn't mean what I wrote and that it was strictly for reaction purposes :P ...and ofcourse no one reacted! I absolutely agree with it being a matter of inventing a way of writing things in a way that has never been done. It's what those of us who want to be writers strive for and why we read all of the greats that came before us who were able to. I just sat down and started writing and that's the voice that came out and I found it pretty funny. Someday I will make people laugh!!!! I swear........ But no, I definitely wasn't completely bashing the writing world, just trying out a voice.

PS it is so your turn
