The Callums - more extrapolation

There’s much less to extrapolate here, as we are told in Big Six that Dorothea has yellow plaits. And Dick seems to have dark hair from the pictures. Dot is described as having “big hooves for her size” by Nancy but is smaller than Peggy at this point. In Winter Holiday, Dorothea thinks that Peggy at least is not much older than she is. So I’m going to go with the theory that if Nancy and Peggy came in the “early (ish) growth spurt” category and Peggy was about 14 at this point (PM) and Dorothea was 12 or nearly 12, and small for her age with a latish growth spurt still to come, Peggy is not far from her final adult height, Nancy might even have reached her final height, and Dot has a lot of growing still to do, but will end up quite tall. (On the general principle of big paws on a puppy means it will grow into a big dog, which generally works for humans too.)
I don’t think we’re ever told which of the two of them is older, but I’m opting for Dorothea being about 18 to 15 months older than Dick and his captaincy of Scarab being largely due to him having more aptitude for sailing - or better concentration - with or without a certain amount of gender stereotyping that might not be present in the other two families.
Roger, in Great Northern? is described as much nearer Dick’s height than John is. This is an additional bit that inclines me towards the “Dick is slightly younger” theory and also suggests that either Dick like Dot, is small for his age until a late growth spurt, or doesn’t grow to more than average height as an adult. Mentally I’m picturing him as slightly shorter than Roger, slightly taller than Titty and the same height or taller than Dot.
