So... what was Jane's rebellion?
(John would be a bit wildly over-heavy to be trying to lay down the law to Julia re: mini-skirts, wouldn't he? She'd be well over seventeen by the time they came in.)

The rabbit comment was derived from a childhood discussion - we'd heard the phrase, knew about decimal fractions and decided a small dog or large cat about counted. I really can't remember why, or indeed which combination of friends were involved in the combination. Also from another event in "Pieces."
I'm not sure quite what Jane's rebellion was myself, except that it would be out of conviction, not the desire to show off. Fergus had made one suggestion I rather like.
I'm not sure that John actually attempts to ban Julia from wearing mini-skirts, but fathers do have a way of making it quite clear that they don't approve. (Even if it's just by pointed lack of approval). He might say something about it, but Nancy wouldn't let him actually ban her from wearing them.

Great fun and detail of them all! It is very interesting to see their characters and it would be very interesting to see what form Jane's rebellion takes!
