This article about the sexual assaults happening in Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquakes is so upsetting. Haiti has always been rife with sexual violence like this, but it seems like right now, with all the horrors the country has suffered, it's even worse

Hear hear. It's horrible and frightening. I don't understand why such a thing would need to be justified. It disgusts me.

Because the world is sucks and anything even slightly outside the heteronormative is considered abhorrent and terrifying and must therefore be destroyed and shunned.
