What a shitty, nasty day outside.

Thank Goddess I have no classes today. It's impossible to get up and running in this weather. Fortunately, it's not snowing. Just lots and lots of rain. They got hit with the snow in North Jersey. Maybe snow wouldn't feel so damn gloomy, come to think of it. *sigh*

I know I should be making myself a pot of ( Read more... )

Suprisingly I didn't mind heading to work today in this crappy weather... Easy excuse for being late... But I got there on time... I know... I got to leave early :)

A nasty day? Really?

I wish you would have warned me before I came back to Red Bank. Someone needs to complain to the management about this.

Red Bank is actually kind of nice. I was up there when I worked on a documentary about Kevin Smith and his films. Steve-Dave is an asshole though.

Yeah, Red Bank sucks ass when it's raining, because you have to walk to get anywhere. It's pointless driving through that town sometimes.
And where were you living that it was so bad you had to come back to New Jersey of all places?

I've actually spent most of the last five years in San Francisco. I'd been back in Red Bank for the last few months, but was on the west coast again last week. I was kind of hoping that the weather wouldn't actually suck all of my ass when I came back. I guess I hoped wrong.

Other than that, though, I still like Red Bank. I grew up here, so it has that comfortable familiarity to it. Besides, it has decent bars, okay food, good coffee and the Book Pit. I missed the Book Pit. I really missed the Book Pit.

Also, like I said, I lived in San Francisco for years. Believe me: it's not the rain that bothers me. It's that whole so-cold-that-your-hair-freezes thing that bothers me! Slopfall and piles of black snow don't really make me happy either.

But the walking doesn't bother me. I prefer it. Hell, you live in Long Branch. You actually have to drive to get places.
