that I ever got to see on a daily basis were horny toads and these lizards whose tail broke off if you tried to catch them. This was when I lived in Arizona. I loved watching them. Oh, and I saw a real Gila Monster in a church parking lot once.

That looks like a Firefly Icon. Am I right?

It is a photo of Rose McGowan, one of the tree sisters in Charmed.

That is one seriously beautiful lizard. The owner is much prettier, but still and all. :)

I really miss my WD's. I never got to see them get this big... I had to give them up when I got preggo. He's a beaut. though! :)

why'd you have to give them up? I don't understand the connection.

I was told by my doctors that certain animals carry salmonella, and lizards are one the many. I was so scared - being my first child and not knowing what effects it could have, my fiance (at the time) made me give them up. :(

Sounds like my mother when I was a child. We got a cat named Buddy (he really lived up to his name), and soon after we got him, he got feline lukemia. My mother was afraid of my brother and I catching it, and had the animal put down. We later learned we had nothing to worry about. Similar situation with salmonella. Thing is, if you wash your hands after handling a lizard that carries it (turtles included here) you have nothing to fear. It's an ingested disease, not a contact disease. Because some girl was stupid, and didn't wash her hands, you can't buy turtles in NJ anymore :(
