JOHN FORBES KERRY IS JED BARTLET.

He just said something along the lines of:
"I'm not running as a Catholic President, I'm running as a President who happens to be Catholic."

JFK for President.

He was quoting the real JFK. Considering that he is the only Catholic president in history, it's hardly surprising.

I know the West Wing. I've watched the West Wing. The West Wing is a friend of mine. That Senator is no Jed Bartlet.

I know that he was quoting JFK, just as he was quoting FDR when he said (roughly): "I do not care whether an idea is a Republican idea or a Democrat idea; I only care whether or not is is right for this country."

You may not think he's Jed Bartlet (interesting side notes: His family basically founded a New England state, and his staff says he sometimes keeps them up late rattling on about the history of the U.S. ^_^), but you can't deny that he's got some damn good ideas.

Frankly, I haven't heard alot about his ideas and plans. I've heard vague outlines for what to do, but Al Gore was much more descriptive talking about lockboxes and so on.

Bill O'Reilly was on the Daily Show after the 2nd debate and made a point of mentioning that he's undecided and really wishes he could hear what exactly Kerry thinks about given issues. He has plans to nail him down on his show at some point in the future.

I confess a bit of the same. The ideas I've heard aren't novel.

I'm more interested in him because his foreign policy doesn't involve idiocy.
