That was a better show and dine than I expected from this place. Over the top, but that part wasn't a surprise. If you take into account the people in it and the subject of the song. Shit, I can't stop humming it.

This afternoon is fine.

---

[ooc: A-go!]

Sakon is seated at the desk, carefully flipping through the documented articles in the small black binder. He's taking notes in a small line note book he'd found in the library. The thing had certainly seen better days, but it was the best he could find in the decomposing papers.

[He noticed the recoil (how was he supposed to miss it?), but it's not like he was going to eat the kid or anything--he'd just have to put up with the fact that Mello tended to move boldly, literally and metaphorically.]

Yeah. Sounds like they've been sitting untouched for a while. [Spends a moment in thought, mind on fast-forward.] Are they connected to the sewers in any way?

"Th...they have..." He said, tracing the route to the Accido stop with his finger thoughtfully. "It's been years since anyone had been down there and the entrances had been blocked off for a while."

He thumbed the tip of his chin, eyes narrowing at the map as if he were irritated at it. His demeanor had changed quite drastically, as he suddenly seemed quite focused rather than jumping at the slightest noise.

"It's suspicious, every subway entrance blocked off or hidden. It's almost too obvious that something important is down there. I don't doubt the sewers are connected to the subway as well. But that's what sewers are supposed to be, connected. I'd like to know where else they go."

[He blinked at the abrupt transformation; there'd been a milder hint of it, earlier, but this was full-on snapping into a different persona, by all appearances. It reminded him of some of the less successful kids back at Wammy's.

Curiouser and curiouser.]

There are a shitload of things blocked off all the way around the city right now. [He remarked, a touch dryly.] But you're right; the underground passages span the entire breadth of the city and they're pretty damn suspicious to boot-- [And might be one of the keys to the city's secrets.] --Has anything else been found down there?

Sakon smiled, a little coldly at Mello's remark. The older teen seemed to catch on quickly enough.

"The task is getting at things we cannot. To work out what is being hidden and what is merely a dead end. There are far too many unanswered questions here. But yes, many things have been found down there; another message to Sofie and a slew of Chimera. I believe during his stay, Garcian Smith uncovered a great deal."

Oh, I agree. There are way too many fucking things the scientists are hiding, and not being natives, we have no damned clue where to start. They've got a pretty big headstart on us.

[He listened, nodding as he picked apart the information, categorized it.] I've heard about the chimeras, but what about this other message? And-- [Raising an eyebrow.] This 'Garcian Smith' sounds pretty important. Funny I've never heard of him.
