That was a better show and dine than I expected from this place. Over the top, but that part wasn't a surprise. If you take into account the people in it and the subject of the song. Shit, I can't stop humming it.

And I'm Mello.

I'll be just inside the entrance.

[Thomas, perhaps better known as The Sorrow, closed the book sitting on one of the many tables. Making his way outside, his oilskin coat hung against his somewhat slim frame, which hid years of military training. With the hood drawn over his face, it gave his features something of an eerie shadow. As if looking into nothingness, and two piercing eyes looking back at you. It gave the older gentleman quite a creepy appearance. Holstered against his chest was the handgun he had mentioned previously.

The older man made his way for the entrance, and gave a nod of greeting to Mello.]

[... Besides the fact that he seemed to have landed a wannabe Sith Lord for an exploration partner, at least the guy looked competent. They had two handguns, and the other guy sounded like he was smart enough to know how many bullets he had left.

In this kind of place, that was about as much as Mello could ask for, at this point.]

Hey. Thomas, right?

[He stood from the lean he'd taken against the wall of the hallway and turned on his communicator, indicating the electronic map of the city he'd scrounged some time ago.] You probably know the streets better than I do, but this'll be new territory for both of us. Weapons shop is roughly due east on Marshall; should be a pretty easy find.

The problem'll be the fact that we've got no idea what kinds of monsters like to lurk over that way. Probably nasty shit. [He paused, raising an eyebrow: questions now or never.]

I'm not sure, but probably during the earthquake.

I think Pan was going there some week ago, but I'm not sure if she got there.

No new info.

Who else was on the expedition besides you, Johnny and Pan? Names, frequencies, descriptions, if you can.

Let's see now... Aside from us, Kairi wishrealized, Olette orangeblooms, Miria phantommiria, and Saber rex_britanniae were in the group ending up in the town. We found it a bit strange that Johnny was the only one with his chip out, and that Olette was chosen - the rest of us could have defended ourselves if we had to, but she doesn't have any fighting experience. Saber and Miria are both rather formal, but they seem to be good warriors.

There were seven or eight others that ended up in the mansion, but I only know Roxas watchthesunsets and Ness mrbaseballfan.

I have to agree, there. I was surprised that it turned out so well.

Latimir's collection of...books, I guess? It didn't seem that bad to me.

The people here seem more interested in carpe diem than in thinking about the long-term, which isn't surprising.

Books. I wouldn't call it a collection so much as a stack. A damn dusty one.

...Carpe diem?

Huh...I didn't know. You might find a better collection in one of the libraries.

Seize the day. Make yourself happy today because you could drop dead tomorrow. All that stuff.

I doubt all the books in the city would make up one normal library, so it's pretty moot.

Did you ask?

Latimir lobby. Look around, they're easy to miss.

No. I found a few in other apartments, so I've just been keeping those.

Oh, right....I've been kinda letting him take a look around. He's gotta, you know, get himself settled in. I'll ask tomorrow, okay?
