So, these are Reavers? Nice preview, but they're ugly as fuck. Nothing like walking embodiments of 'things could always be worse'. Ha. No sign of, say, sirens or Circe? Beauty can be deadly and all that. Easier on the eyes, too ( Read more... )

The station is doing well, other then a few minor damages and one cell unusable it's fairing well. The clean up proved that little structural damage occurred.

And the state of the police force itself?

Coming around, we have some things outlined which after it's been revised will be released to the public.

Then, if possible, we should get the weapons cache back on schedule. Did you work out the locks?

Pleasant aren't they?

Be glad you haven't met them when they were alive.

So you have?

Indeed, their overall appearance suits the macabre aesthetic of Discedo remarkably well.

We wouldn't be talking if I had.

You'd think that with the theme of 'rebirth and reconstruction' they keep talking about, we'd get something more motivational.

Hearsay?

The "H" I referred to when we met last month? Same radian.

So he's the one who gave you a leg up, huh? And you don't know anything about what he's capable of aside from what he's thrown out.

Mmh. As far as abilities go, I'm zetta positive he is capable of something, but what remains an undefined variable. However, this means 000 for the time being. Other than that? He's capable of talking a zetta ton, but not saying anything useful.

I'll have to remember to have a conversation with him sometime, then.

Pretty good? I mean we're sort of chums, elementally speaking.

The lake's resonating to me again now, so it's been fairly cleaned up, I'd say.

Figured.

What do you mean by resonating?

Re: text. (thread entirely locked) quirky_sitar November 26 2008, 14:26:06 UTC
Mean it's cooperative. Usually if it won't, its been messed with something else. Ocean water's fine, but...well, you know, worse add-ins. It goes flat. Won't respond right.

When'd the resonating start back up?

[Bakura stands near the clothing stores, concealing himself in the in the shadows. If one were to find him, they'd notice the strange coexistence of ancient and modern (as well as a very displeased Egyptian). Bakura had swapped his original attire (and manly kilt) for denim jeans, a cotton t-shirt, and shoes with soles, but still adorns the excessive amount of jewelry he oh-so-rightfully stole, save for the Millennium Ring (it mocks his failure). In hand, he holds the communicator; his only means for overcoming the disadvantageous language barrier.]

[This week looks to suck a little less than the last (there aren't many things that can compare with last week in this place, so far; last week was personal), but he could've done without even more ghostly visitations. Halloween's fucking over, for christ's sake.

Nevertheless, he skirts the Reaver-looking things with care whenever he spots one, and manages to arrive unscathed on Ingles Trail, clothing stores--those bring back a few memories of his own arrival here.

No losing focus, now.

And that had to be his man--dark as scorched, looking completely off-kilter in modern clothing with shitloads of gold hanging off him--it actually makes a rather hilarious picture. He's careful to blank his expression and pull out his communicator before hailing the guy.]

"You're Bakura?"

[Arms folded against his chest, he watches the surrounding area with the intensity of a hawk. Spirits of the creatures that had forced him from previous residence in the forest bordering the city lingered about; he wasn't about to almost be ambushed a second time.

A figure--androgynous and pale-skinned with hair the color of straw--emerges into his line of vision is heading towards his current location. This must be Mello; he has seen the man before, on this "Halloween" festival, but only from afar.

He begins to reply verbally upon reading the message, but quickly stops himself (fucking language barrier) and with a 'hmph' slowly draws out a reply.]

"i am . then i take it you are mello ."

{ooc: This is assuming that the comms have touch screens and he draws the glyphs with his finger.]

OOC || LOL whoops I meant that to be verbal since I figured Bakura might remember his name, but text works too. XD

None other.

[Bakura has a wicked scar clawing its way down one side of his face, the opposite from his own--it makes them into a strange sort of mirror. He doesn't know why he's finding everything funny today--maybe irony just likes him right now.

Anyway, this particular thread of his plans has been delayed long enough; after the last trip down to the sewers he's more than ready to implement a little more efficiency into their arrangements.]

You want to stand out here or try your luck inside? There might be monsters hiding in there, but they usually keep to the shadows until after dark.
