My frist housewarming present

Someone in their infinite wisdom decided that I needed a housewarming present in the form of a small mixed breed, malnourished, matted/manged hair dog. I went to the new house today to discover it in my backyard with the gate closed and no way for it to get out. Hence someone dumped the poor thing on me. I have so many offers for help from craigslist I'm sure I can find someone to take it in or help it. DO NOT REMOVE IT OR HAVE IT KILLED LIKE YOU SAID YOU WOULD TONIGHT AT JJ'S!

I never ever said I would have it killed... for goodness sakes. I said I would take it to the animal shelter to be adopted. You are the one who suggested that I would...

Don't you have a local humane society? They usually take in animals until adopted, and don't euthanize

Yes we do but generally there is one hell of a waiting list to get a dog submitted or turned over to them.

Or search for a local rescue group. I know there are several around OKC.

I know there are several rescue groups in the area. I just don't know of any off hand that handle mixed breeds. Most are breed specific unless you go to the humane society which there is a waiting list a mile long or some other group that makes you pay to turn over an animal.... kinda sucks
