Fic: "Somebody Has To..."

Mar 27, 2009 22:09

So, these days I am biding my time at home, letting time heal wounds and all that and, well, I have a bit of time in my hands. And I got to thinking about that fic request anuna_81 had the other day. And, even though she asked for it, I really had no intention to write John and Elizabeth in an established relationship, only then the story started coming to ( Read more... )

Oh that was lovely!! wonderful balance of that damned life-angst, the secure love you just know john and elizabeth would have found with each other.. and the teasing that is so instinctive between them

“You’re telling me that the awkwardness is supposed to go away at some point?” he smirked at her.

She grinned back, “Give it time, baby. It might still happen.”
that was just sooooo them, :)

-gentle hug- eat well and take good care of yourself. glad you are at least feeling on the road to recovery!

This was, again, one of those spools that just started to unwind itself in my head. Couldn't help much any of it, but I'd like to think that, by now, I could be just swinging aimlessly in the dark and still hit somewhat of a right note with these two (and how's that for arrogance?:).

You think she'd really call him "baby"? (I have trouble with these terms of endearment; similar to the troubles I have with seduction, if you remember that conversation from way back...)

I was interpreting that more as a tease. the baby as well as the implications on his character. the two went well together, to me.

as for arroance... I'm pretty positive theer are a few appliable saying about writers and their charcters.. wich would count exponentially more for fanfic writers... lool

Aww, that was so sweet :)
Even though you hadn't planned on an established relationship, it turned out perfectly!

We kind of took the same route with this one, didn't we?:)

Thank you.

Seriously? I posted hours ago . . . where the heck is it?!?
*sigh*

I love this! I love their daughter! LOL! It's great. Their comfort with each other after years and years is perfect.

Now you rest up and get better! We need you around to write! (Really, we just want you around . . . )

Thanks.

I like the idea that though they are so comfortable with each other and though they know they can depend on each other, they've also retained their independence over the years and that the other person next to them respects, even loves that independence about them.

I don't have much experience with long term relationships myself and certainly not with something as long term as this, so I am really glad that you think I got it right with this. :)

That was wonderful, thank you so much. I LOVED it. That's just the kind of fic I wanted to read.

I love the tender teasing and a great dialogue between them - there's always the underlying feeling of mutual understanding and respect. I love how you do that. Thank you!!!

Hey, I'm glad you enjoyed this one. It was one of those prompts that took, sparked an idea almost immediately. I suppose I was due a creative moment, anyway.

I like the thought of them respecting each others independence even through being wholeheartedly there to offer any kind of necessary support to the other one. I hope that thought came through here.

And I hope that now that the exam fuss is through for you, I'll get to read more fic from you. I have to say, I am especially looking forward to that bigbangish process of yours.

It really did come through. i almost envy your ability to make them so connected yet so separate in who they are. They can "enter" each other's space, but they don't suffocate each other. To me it's an ideal kind of relationship.

The bigbangish idea, should the challenge happen this year, is going to entertain and amuse me for quite some time. It's a self indulging kind of story for me and I'm really having fun. :P

Awwwww, perfect!

Coming to a halt for a moment, he gave a long lingering look, from head to toe. “Nah,” he contended, wrapping his arms around her and giving her a quick kiss on the lips. “I love you just the way you are.”

Wheeee. ♥ *melts*
