I had the same reaction! And still haven't figured it out. So if you do... She's already put together one steampunk lesbian anthology w/some great stuff in it (N.K. Jemisin!), so this should be good.

Oh, I know...but I find this genre interesting even though a lot of people roll their eyes at it now. ("OH, that's SO over!") Maybe because it incorporates a kind of historical element and I've always liked history very much. So I'm wondering if I can write something steampunkish enough to fit the bill.

COOOOLLLL!! And I think I might actually have stories to submit for *both* these anthologies!! (Whether they get accepted is a completely different story!) But, I'm still waiting for either a 'lesbians as spies' or 'lesbians versus zombies' anthology, 'cuz those would totally rock.. and I'd send about a hundred or so submissions!

Excellent! Actually, you were one of main reasons I posted this here. I LOVE fanfic and the fact that it's a labor of love and free, but I'm always for seeing more dykes in print! I'm sure you can talk her into doing a zombie lesbo anthology. I'd pay for that!

Oh man, a zombies 'n lesbians anthology? I get the vapors just thinking about it!

I have a steampunk-ish novel in the works (if I can figure out what I friggin' did with it) but I don't tend to read a lot of it just because the novels I've read tend to get bogged down with the aesthetics of the genre. I think I prefer steampunk as more visual medium? Now, femme fatales? I can totally get behind that!
