Took a couple of pictures of my rescue bullsnakes.
This is Cleopatra - a former educational snake. He's rather hissy &
I have a hard time believing he was used for educational programs! He's
a lot lighter than the bulls I'm used to. He came from a location about
4 hrs south of me.
For a bit of contrast, here are
Miney & BD. Both are from roughly the same geographic location.
Miney is the one on the left. BD was rescued after someone crushed his
skull when he was a hatchling. You can see that his eye is kinda funky
looking. That one was damaged and he can't see out of it. Due to his
injuries, he went off feed. He had to be assist fed for about 3 yrs
until recently. I was trying to feed him a month or so ago when he
became rather upset and refused to let me put food in his mouth. I got
fed up and put him in a feeder cage with his food in order to tend to
another snake I was feeding. When I looked back over at BD, I noticed
his food was gone. I fed him some more and he readily took all of them
on his own. Finally, after 3 yrs, he re-learned to eat on his own! He's
now a pig and growing nicely. He's a big stunted in comparison to other
snakes his age. Miney is a year or two younger and slightly larger than
BD.
