This is such a good point and one I've seen taken to the point of telling a writer that their interpretation of a character is wrong or bad because they've given the character this extra element of history. It seems strange that we can formulate headcanon for dozens of events in a character's history and yet when it comes to the matter of sex it is somehow taboo to create headcanon for it when it is in fact one of the biggest areas that most creators do not touch on.

This applies doubly so when the character is a minor regardless of canon culture or experiences if the character is under the age of 18 they are expected to have no sexual experience that is not explicitly stated in canon. And, of course, there never is any.
