In contrast, how good were the Mercury Music Prize performances? Really quality, especially that wee lassy Laura Marling who is 18 but looks 14. What a star

They had party poppers, we all had piles of them on our heads for a bit. Obviously, it was a terribly sober night!

This year's Mercury Music Prize was better than it's been for over a decade, in my opinion! And Laura Marling is wonderful. I'm jealous of her.

It's got to be One, right? :p

It was really excellent, even Portico Quartet, who I thought were going to be terrible! Apart from Burial actually, I don't see what is original about that sound.
