air before the pot is knocked seems kind of pointless. Why not, emanates into the air before/ the pot is knocked?

also you as a one word stanza is kind of cliche. A word word stanza can be very powerful, but using it just to reference the other in a clear and direct way is kind of a waste. Over as a one word line however, is very well done.
