I got the new migraine prevention medication today, and will be starting it tonight. It's a generic for Topomax, Topiramate 25mg, and the doctor is starting me off low with one pill a night at bedtime for the first week, then two pills a day afterward. The side effects are all similar to the propranolol, so here's hoping that this one might work

Good luck with the Topiramate! And keep an extra eye out for any abrasive side effects. It's slightly uncommon in Topiramate as is- but mindfulness always rocks. (I'm pretty sure you've had TONS of experience in this regard already!)

Thank you Drone! So far it's pretty awkward already, but it is only the first day. I appreciate the good luck, though! I don't need the memory issues and concentration loss with classwork to do, for sure, not to mention physically demanding and mentally demanding work. Thanks!
