First day on new stuff

My brain feels... weird. It's hard to describe it any other way, except for the side-effects listed -in the paper that came with my medicine. Dizziness, difficulty concentrating, confusion, memory issues, (this is very prevalent right now - I was trying to set my alarm to get my laundry when it was done, and man, that was a chore and a half trying ( Read more... )

Eek. Definitely keep a notepad or comp book nearby and document when they happen, the symptoms, and when they seem to dissipate or at least reside. I'm sure your it would be very beneficial for your doctor but also beneficial for yourself so that you can remember what's happening to your mind and body each day.

It often takes a few weeks for your body to get used to a new drug, unfortunately. That's why anti-depressants have a 'trial' of a couple weeks before they decide to ask about results =x

Whatever they had Amy on for her migraines made her depressed, constantly tired, and cranky--those were a hard few months, but they seemed to work, for awhile... it's hard having to take something when you feel like you're getting worse before you get better.
