Tribal Captain Jack - DONE!

Oct 27, 2006 17:16

Well, he's finished. It only took one late night of sewing too. LOL. I met with the family this past weekend to do any last minute fitting and hand everything over. Little C didn't want to do the facepaint when I took these, but if he does end up doing it for Halloween night, I'll be sure to post more pictures.

Isn't he cute? :D I think finally managed to strike the right balance with fit - everything on this costume also fits me, so it should last for a few more Halloweens at least! *crosses fingers AND toes* There have been hintings about Samurai armor for next year...

I love how the toe necklace and tribal headdress turned out. They're easily the coolest things I've ever made.

The headdress has a funfoam base and is held mostly together with staples and hot glue. LMAO.

The pictures don't really do the costume justice. It makes quite a statement in person. ;) More information on how I made the individual pieces [here] and more pictures of Little C in the costume [here].
