We went to Chicago last weekend (illustrated).

We went to the Boring Store.

And we ate pizza at PIECE (so yummy and hip, too. They played VU and MGMT while we were there).

Tommy and Christie are so cool.

We stayed in their uber-fancy apartment in Wicker Park and walked their awesome dog Daisy while they were in DC.

Daisy is the bestest dog ever. Except she wants to fucking kill every other dog that she sees. Squirrels, too.

We also went to possibly the most painfully trendy bar called Violet Hour. So cool it hurt. Everything was dimly lit and pale Marie Antoinette blue and the chairs were straight out of Alice in Wonderland. Look at their site for better pics. Yummy cocktails, too. Matt had a Fox Hunt and I had a Tiger Balm.

But, sadly, it rained 3 out of 4 days...

On Saturday, we ate banana and nutella paninis which were delicious.

That evening, we ventured to Skokie, IL for Shabbat dinner at Naomi's mom's house. Naomi hula-hooped with her niece on the eve of her nuptials!

Sunday was Naomi & Joey's wedding which was awesome and beautiful and so emotional. Naomi made such a gorgeous bride, sniff.

We danced and danced and danced all afternoon. All of my wedding pics were on my camera (not the iPhone), which is now lost. Boo. It was my first Jewish wedding, but I was told that with the way I danced, it looked like I was born into it. Rock.

This was one of the adorable flower girls, catching some z's before the ceremony.

And here is the lovely ketubah.

Also, Naomi wore polka dotted socks.

Monday was the only sunny day, so we brunched outside at Earwax (gross name, great food).

And we had to say Goodbye for Real (until December, at least).

Then Matt & I hauled ass around Chicago in the perfect weather...we went to Millennium Park and saw the big bean.

Which we photographed extensively.

I love the bean.

The rest of the Park was cool, too.

Then we went to Hot Doug's, which has delicious and amazing hot dogs. Matt was fucking PSYCHED.

Because encased meats are Matt's fave.

We love Chicago, and every time we visit, we talk about wanting to move there. Maybe someday...

The. End.
