It's hard to make the good things last

Today, my puppy Toby got hit by a car at 5:00 pm. he was only 1 3/4 years old. i had only had him for 1 1/2 years. i never realized how dependent i am on him. but i cannot control myself and i love him so much and i hope that he is happy wherever he is. and that he can finally chew shoes.
