Ahhh, I reallyreally like this. Have not read this pairing (or...sort of pairing) in...awhile? ever? But this caught my eye and I'm glad I took the time to read it. Because it's exactly the sort of thing I love...simple, plausible, and perfect mix of humor and angst.

Heeeyyyitsyou! How ya been?

Thank you, of course, for the flattering comments. It's one of my favorite stand-by pairings, I guess you could say, sometimes they just write themselves that way. What with the intriguing past and all. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I really liked this. The story was just so real feeling and well-written. My favortite part -
He and Tim had been fast friends, but never the closest, the sort of off-again on-again kind of friends that you could always count on. The kind that didn't need constant attention and reassurance to return the affection. Still, they'd somehow managed to become so inextricably tangled in each other's lives that one's joy was the others, one's pain was the others. Triumphs and let downs to be shared through all the firsts, and all the lasts.
The description of their friendship/something more was really cool.
Nice work!

There appears to be a Sim in your icon and if that is the case, then you win at life. Besides that, thank you, very much.

Wow, my cake inspired this...gentle, but at the same time rather serious angst? Go my cake! It is a talented little thing, obviously. Except no, because that would be you. Ohh, I think I had forgotten quite how brilliant you are. I've read a lot of Tim/Billie before (all the best writers seem to write Tim/Billie, it's a pity the pairing doesn't drive me wild with desire!) and I've never seen Tim characterised like this before. His speech was brilliant...an excellent character. Poor Billie! So worried and glum and quietly sad. I'm so happy you finished this so quickly! (also, the idea of Tre stealing someone's cake is highly amusing, and I'm not sure why!)

Yes, all thanks to your cake. That amazingly sweet, chocolatey...maybe chocolatey, never was decided...I'm stopping now. Your name is now Vanessa, congratulations.

I don't know if I've ever written two stories and characterized Tim the same in both. I think the whole multiple-personality-disorder Tim/Lint thing went to my head too much because, seriously. Sometimes he's a bitch, sometimes he's a total asshole, sometimes he's a sub...and in this he was clearly chanelling Jesse.

But I digress. Thank you, for the inspiration as well as praise and for that icon because I have no idea what's going on in it, but I laugh anyway.

(Also, I think it's because we can all see him doing it.)

Heeeeeeey, Vicky, Vanessa, they're similar enough. Vanessa is better than Vicky, anyway. Tim Armstrong can be anything to me, as I know nothing of him - it makes it much easier to accept people's varying roles of him, which in turn is interesting. My icon is taken from Riding in Vans with Boys which has Billie Joe doing some of the slashiest things ever. Oh yes. Bold text. I went there.

Oh, Vicky, you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind, hey Vicky! -clapclap-

...ignore me, please, for your own sake.

I think Tim is just a very diverse person, because he doesn't give a fuck about what people think (as he so often reminds us in his songs) so he can do something that seems completely out of character, and it's okay. At least this is how I justify it in my mind.

I need to rent this movie, right now. I had no idea Billie Joe was in it, I thought it was just a dumb chick flick. Though I do think BNA tried to point me towards it sometime.
