Wow! NICE original character! No, really - usually I'm not a big fan of OCs in fanfiction, but you really made this work like a dream. Very clever dialogue, and tasty to boot!

Leech is so developed, as an OC, that he's almost like an actual person inside my head. It's creepy. Especially when I find myself asking "Now what would Leech do in this situation?"

The answer is never good.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you!

I normally dislike original characters immensely but Leech is so very real. He's wonderful!

I really love your writing! Sorry, I can't seem to come up with a better comment and this fic really deserves it :)

Isn't he? I do loff him very much, even if he just sneers at the sentiment and mocks me for it. Thanks very much for the nice comment, and for liking the story. That's what it's there for, after all!

It's always difficult for me to review your stuff; I'm always afraid I'll word things incorrectly, that it won't be clear that I reallyreallyliked this or that.

I liked how Billie Joe keeps poking, trying to get a reaction. He doesn't like that he doesn't get signals off of Leech (is it to guide the way he himself chooses to act around Leech?), and I know I'd be the same way. Does Billie think that Leech's unaffectedness gives him more control over the situation, their interaction?

I wonder why Leech seems so unaffected. Is that just how he is? Is he that way because it's safer, a learned experience, a way of protecting a part of himself? Or does he not like other people seeing anything inside of him that he doesn't blatantly show, a way of exerting control?

Or am I just reading too much into them both? Hmmm.

For the record, I don't think you could leave an unacceptable review, or read too much into either of them.

Like I said, there's some backstory here that I didn't really bother to explain because it would be too complicated and take way too long, and besides that I sort of like leaving it up to guess work. I'm sure Billie's youth and inexperience, in this timespan anyway, have a lot to do with the way Leech frustrates him. As for Leech, I think it might be a little of all three of the possibilities you came up with, probably more the second one than anything else, though.

I'm glad you had so much to think about with this, and also that you liked it, of course. And thanks for sharing those thoughts, because now I have something to think about, maybe it will get me writing more.
