DKI Drabble Challenge #1
I decided to get everyone's creativity going by posting little drabble challenges sporadically, mostly because I miss minusthe__text. I'll probably reply to them as well, if I stop being so goddamn lazy. Post your responses in a comment here, or email them to theeleech@gmail.com so I can put them up on the site. The prompt for this first challenge is:
The quickening is an ephemeral thing
That only happens in the dark
Like catching lightning in a jar
And the pain that it brings
Is just the promise of spring
It’s madness on the way
Yes, those are bad religion lyrics. No, you do not have to include the lyrics in your drabble - since they'd take up more than half of the allotted space - they are only meant to inspire you. As you probably know, drabbles are 100 words only. And for anyone curious, I looked up ephemeral in the bad religion dictionary (TM), and it is: an adjective, "lasting for only a markedly brief time."
