Doesn't it suck that I suck so much at writing now that it took a suckily long time for me to get these 200 sucky words out of my brain?

Fandom: Operation Ivy
Pairing: Lint/Jesse
Challenge: 27 - Post-Apocalyptic

If the sky was still that same brilliant blue instead of dingy grey, maybe Jesse could remember the color of Lint’s eyes. If the grass were still green, if there was any greenery left at all, maybe Jesse could remember long nights spent diving into wet, prickly hedges and the sound of Lint’s laughter, close to his ear and warm as the kisses they shared between breaths.

Instead, all that’s left for him is scarred earth, dirty water, a muted sky, memories that fade too quickly for Jesse’s liking and the sound of Lint’s dying screams reverberating in his ears.

Fandom: Operation Ivy/Original Character
Pairing: Lint/Leech
Challenge: 28 - Underwater

They don't have to talk to make it work. Actually, it's better if they don't talk - given how Lint can't pronounce anything over three syllables without fucking it up. Lee likes that he doesn't have to say anything, how simple it is to curl around Lint's form, sliding his unfeeling fingertips over Lint's hipbones, sliding his legs between the impulsive silk sheets. It feels like being submerged, underwater, surrounded by so much feeling that there's no need to express it in words. Because, even though Lint is terrified of the dark and Lee shies away from needles, neither of them have ever been afraid of drowning.
