You know, after 2 or 3 years of following this story, you'd think the final battle might be a letdown. You would be WRONG!! This was SO PERFECT and such a creative way to take down Voldemort. It may have been foreshawdowed by the earlier chapters, but I didn't see this coming. Between Severus' declaration and Harry's "schoolyard brawling" this was one of THE BEST fight climax scenes ever. (And given the amount of fanfic that I've read, that says a hell of a lot!)
Thank you for not giving up on this, thank you for not letting the last book throw you off your stride and thank you for sharing your creative talents with us. Yes, I'm gushing, but this was so spot on, I just can't say it enough.
I look forward to the next part, but THIS? This was STUNNING.
I'm almost crying *sniff* I can't tell you how much it meant to read this. I swear you've hit on every fear I've had these past months. I was so worried about getting to this point and not doing it justice. Like you said it's been 3 years and I was a panic Voldy's demise might be anticlimactic. Thanks, I can't scrape the smile off my face. :D
Did I forget to mention in my feedback to you, that I absolutely adored the use of Neville?! And the use of the Dementor - so very right! Harry does lots, and is incredibly powerful, but the Fates have always played their part, smiling upon him with the most interesting of luck. You did play the eradication of Voldie just perfectly! The balance you struck was perfect, I think - I haven't seen is done better, nor in a more uniquely creative way. Not underplayed, but denying Voldie the glory he may have wanted. And it also suggests, yet leaves so many questions unanswered. For instance, were the DE's he brought along, relatively unknown, or at least, 'despensable', lesser ones, not really much to be noticed if they went missing? I cannot imagine that if one of them had succeeded in killing Harry, Voldie would have left any of them alive to tell the tale to the other DE's. See, all that worry blocking you was unnecessary - your creative talent shone through and blew that block to smithereens!

I felt the battle was powerful and satisfying in a way that the final book in the series failed to deliver. Congrats!
