My letter-to-the-editor got published today in the Wisconsin State Journal. They really dumbed it down, which is very frustrating for me. I take pride in my writing and they made me sound like an immature writer who doesn't know how to put sentences together! Oh well ... I will take pride in the fact that I got published in the Sunday paper! That

Thank you! I think it is, but the editor of the paper changed it so much she made me sound retarded. They really dumbed it down. Due to the topic, it irks me more than it would usually. I don't like sounding like a retarded mom whose son died ... that way leads to more victim-blaming (which I was prepared to get some of, but with it sounding so stupid I am worried about getting even more of that).

I am waiting until they get their website updated, and then I will post a link to the version which actually got published.
