homosexuality clearly causes no more suffering than heterosexuality, and prejudice, being founded in ignorance, is thereby nearly guaranteed to lead someone to false beliefs.

In and of itself, of course not. In our culture where most insults have homosexual as a sub-context, I tend to disagree. It's a hard life--but there is not inherent reason for it to be.

i think the film was trying to say that when it comes to war, be it a war of words, swords, or bombs, the side with the most spartans will probably win.

Funny when you think about what the spartans actually were: willing to kill there own to keep things up. Bloody romanticism is not something I have much patience with. And sparta DID eventually get crushed, which makes the point ever potent.

And that's why what kind of martial art you engage in it is a moral choice: hence why I choice judo (which is what you do no?)

No bloody romanticism there, just redirecting force.

I suppose I am stuck on the idea that this 300 thing is as much a sign of the decadence you seem to be hinting at as an answer to it.
