Title:Horus and Hathor
Authorleetaemint
Rating:PG-15 for character death.
Pairing/Focus:Kim Kibum/??
Summary: Kibum loves every single story Horus posts on their journal. Based on the first of the stories from the book 'Never trust a Computer' (Nunca confíes en una Computadora) by Verónica Sukaczer, named 'Never will I be able to reach to you' (Jamás podré alcanzarte).
A/N: This might turn out as sad and very confusing, the next part will be written on Kibum's P.O.V.

It was not just any other ordinary hobby. Kibum was just too enamored by that author it actually hurt.
The way they wrote, putting every single detail in order, playing with the emotions of the characters…Kibum wished he could write as awesomely as them.
“Add to Memories”. He clicked the button and tagged it under the same tags he used to add their stories in. ‘EPIC’ ‘CRIES A SEA OF TEARS’ ‘AW MY FEELS’; all of them in caps lock. Because Kibum loved caps locking like there was no tomorrow.
Kibum normally was the first one in commenting about the story; always with the typical phrases such as: ‘I love your works, keep up with the good job!’, ‘I AM SPEECHLESS. LIKE, HOW.’, ‘SO MANY FEELINGS RIGHT NOW. OH MY GOD WHAT IS THIS?’ and ‘SOBS FOREVER’. Kibum was aware he sounded pretty dumb from those lines, but it was helpless after all. Kibum was just too awkward to manage blurting out coherent phrases, summed to the fact he always found himself struck and breathless, unable to function correctly, whenever he would finish reading those stunning stories.
And a younger version of Kim Kibum could have sworn nine thousand three hundred sixty four and a half times he would never ever picture himself glued to the screen of either his cell phone or laptop almost all day long, awaiting for an update from the blog of someone he didn’t even know.
The comments he left of the entries were full of praises it was embarrassing to an extent. Not that the author ever replied to him but it wasn’t like the youngster cared either. He was just too mesmerized, his mind wandering over the fantastic worlds his favorite writer created; the thought of perhaps stop commenting because he didn’t ever get a goddamn reply never crossing his mind.
Kibum just thought a good story was worth at least a small comment.
Kibum was convinced an author shouldn’t ever reply to their readers, just because it wasn’t a good thing to do, nothing special. Perhaps the author was busy trying to carry on a life, perhaps the author might as well receive a lot of feedback from their works (not that Kibum ever cared in checking, though) it was just impossible for them to reply back.
Kibum just read, commented and added to memories. End of story.
That was why one day, when he opened his inbox, soughing for a new unread message, his surprise was big.
The author of the fantasies that were his predilection left a message on his journal.
‘Hi! We have never talked before, but I always see you on the comments…always praising my works, even I myself think of them as utter trash…I just wanted to thank you all your time spent on making those comments! They always make me happy! It’s fulfilling to see someone saying such nice things to your work! :) Thank you a hundred times! I have never replied to none of them but I just wanted you to know they always make me very happy! Thank you again! ^^’
And for a second, Kibum felt as if his breathing, along with his heartbeat, stopped for a millisecond.
About two seconds later, his mother bumped from her seat where she was sewing in complete and absolute silence at the slight sound of her son, who made a noise that could be categorized somewhere between a squeal and a whale noise.
It wasn’t until a couple of years later that Kibum found out his favorite writer, who slowly became one of Kibum’s biggest infatuations, suddenly disappeared. They no longer were updating their chaptered stories and didn’t post any new ones. Kibum at first tried to think they were busy enough to dedicate some time to write.
Six months passed, and Kibum started getting anxious.
A whole year passed, and there wasn’t any life sign from them, and Kibum was already freaking out. There were more of those sounds akin to whale noises coming from her sixteen year old child’s room that made Ms. Kim grow worried.
Kibum started searching for the writer’s possible location as for the moment. He googled the username and searched for the posts across the internet that might give him some clues.
He ended up stumbling upon a Facebook fans page dedicated to the writer. He obviously liked it.
‘Hi…my name is Kibum and I have been reading Horus’ stories for a couple years now. Does anyone know where they are right now? I am eagerly waiting for them to come back…’
Some of the fans replied a couple of minutes later.
‘Hello. Perhaps you were already told this, but Horus said he was busy because he was soon entering college, you know, the pressure of the entrance exams and all that, he might be busy because of college now…but he has opened a chat box where he writes small fragments for some who request it! He wrote this fabulous drabble for me, which I am very thankful for! Check it out if you haven’t! [Link].’
“Oh, so Horus was a he after all…” Kibum muttered to himself. Horus was for Kibum like a genderless ghost, and he never really bothered in finding out Horus’ actual sex. But perhaps learning that he was a he after all might come in handy in the future.
Kibum logged into the chat box. ‘Horus God of the Sun’, it read.
-Please log in using a nickname- the server requested. Kibum typed in ‘Key to Hades’, because he liked long names with a deep meaning behind them, although he later regretted it because it was just quite an embarrassing nickname.
There was only one person online, and Kibum was dead sure it wasn’t ‘Horus’.
“DestinyMoonBeamXxXxX said: Hi there! ^^”
Well at least his wasn’t the worst nickname, Kibum felt some kind of twisted relief.
“KeyToHades said: Hi!”
“DestinyMoonBeamXxXxX said: Are you a fan of Horus’ writing too?”
“KTH said: Yes! I love his stories!”
“DestinyMoonBeamXxXxX said: Yeah! At first I found it hard to believe he was an actual male! I though Horus was a female! He is just that good with emotions!”
“KTH said: Yes!”
“DestinyMoonBeamXxXxX said: well if you’re here for him then I am sorry to say he logged out ten minutes ago…he logs in regularly, you might find him tomorrow late afternoon!”
“KTH said: Okay! I have to go to sleep now! See you!”
KeyToHades disconnected.
And that night, right before Kibum fell asleep he thought of six things:
1. That he seriously had to type on a cooler nickname next time he logged in.
2. That DestinyMoonBeamXxXxX was really nice and all that, but had an awful username.
3. That DestinyMoonBeamXxXxX was perhaps a girl.
4. That Horus was a guy and not a creepy hermaphrodite ghost roaming around the internet.
5. That he seriously had to finish homework earlier so that he could still be able to find Horus on the chat.
And last but not least, the thing that gave him Goosebumps and made him feel like throwing up rainbow-colored butterflies.
6. That if he requested to, Horus might write something only for him.
Kibum that night dreamt of Egyptian mythology, moon beams and a thousand stories specially created to be requested to the best of the writers. Those funny, weird things Kibum had ever dreamt about but never having enough talent to write them up or at least draw them.
The next day Kibum logged into the chat room, only to stumble upon certain someone.
‘Horus said: Hello, new person ’
Kibum tried hard not to type any nonsensical thought; so he gulped ad proceeded to expose his case to the greatest of writers to have ever existed.
‘Key said: Hello! Well, you might remember me…I was the one who used to comment on all the things you posted on your journal. Do you remember? You even posted something on my journal, thanking me for always being there…’
Horus took some brief seconds to reply, but to Kibum it seemed like hours.
“Oh, hi! I do remember you! I was wondering about you…I am sorry for not notifying you earlier about my leave…”
“No! It’s okay! I mean…you didn’t have to…”
“I am glad to find you again ^^”
Another whale noise could be heard from his room, but fortunately enough his mom was away.
And then Kibum immersed himself in a conversation that lasted until 2 am with Horus, words flowing so fluently even Kibum himself wondered what was it that made him talk like that when no one else made his mouth utter such words in such way.
