I have to admit I didn't appreciate Napoleon at all the first time around, but on rediscovery, they're definitely a couple in whatever way one wants to interpret it :)

My first experience was from an Ace Book, and what I adored was their banter, so I always saw them as of a piece. I never thought of them except as partners. I LOVE good partnerships in fiction. You might almost call it a kink. :-)
