Around 2.7 million people in Dutch LGBTQIA+ community

In the Netherlands, approximately 2.7 million people are lesbian, gay, bi-plus, transgender, queer, intersex, or asexual (LGBTQIA+). That amounts to almost 18 percent of all Dutch people aged 15 and over, Statistics Netherlands (CBS) reported on Coming Out Day on Friday.

Reports that some police officers don’t want to be deployed to protect Jewish institutions over moral objections to the violence in Gaza and Lebanon have caused outrage in the Netherlands.
