Sooo, I've decided on a major, and am going to TRY to talk to a counselor within the next week to get my AA changed over to an AS(Associate in Science degree) into the Radiology field, and work as an Xray tech, and then hit up a university for a 4 year Bachelor's degree in Sonography and Ultrasounds ( Read more... )

I don't really see much of a difference other than the fact that you started with your "4-year Bachelor's Degree" earlier than you expected. The first 2 years of a Bachelor's degree is basically an AA anyway.

If the AS is absolutely necessary, you could put the AA on hold and get the AS. Then after the AS, just go back to your AA/Bachelor's. Just think of the AA classes you took as already being ahead of getting that Bachelor's.

Otherwise, you may feel that the AS is just a waste of time now since you are already on your way to getting the AA, and then 2 more years for the Bachelor's.

Unless the radiology program is different than other programs, then I'm pretty sure you'll be OK either way.

Or you could just go see a counselor. That usually works. :P

Well, the AS is equal to the AA, so I don't need/won't be going back to get the AA. I would just transfer to a university, and proceed to get my BS(Bachelor's in Science) degree..

Basically, in the end..the last year and half of school would be a complete waste, not to mention financially, because only 1/3rd of my classes are transferring over to the AS program, but it's better than to get another year down the road, and not be able to do anything with a General Education AA ::shrugs::

:)
