I'm totally with you on the Chinese New Year thing... Can't wait! How many days do you celebrate?

I read your post :O) I celebrate it today (eve) - we have a reunion lunch, then when it strikes midnight, dad will take my sisters and I to his first brother's house, and after prayers (the time changes every year, yes? =.=) we head over to my mom's sister's place and that's where the real partay begins ;D- and the process repeats itself over the next few days.
Our real big celebration in on the ninth day, cos' we're Hokkien. I'll usually head over to my uncle's house because he stays in an area where it's 95% Hokkien Chinese so the atmosphere there really kicks butt.
Happy Chinese New Year to you! I hope you get lots of angpow this year ^^

And I hope your CNY celebration was really a huge big bang! My family's a little more subdued, so less festivities, less people and less ang pow (I'm working on getting more people over though... Next year... next year :-P)
I'm rambling, but I really really just *had* to leave a note here and hope your 7th day of the CNY is going good still!
